How OnlyFans subscriptions and pricing work for fans
"How much is OnlyFans?" has no single answer, because OnlyFans does not charge fans anything just to have an account. Every price you pay is set by a creator: a monthly subscription, a bundle, a paid message, a tip. This guide explains each of those from the fan's side, shows what the accounts in our directory actually charge, and covers the settings that decide what you pay next month.
The price figures below come from our own reads of public OnlyFans profiles, covering the 8,700 accounts in our lists on 5 Oct 2026. They describe what creators were charging when we read their profiles, not a promise of what they charge today.
Monthly subscriptions: who sets the price
The core of OnlyFans is the monthly subscription. Each creator chooses her own price, and OnlyFans sets the range: the lowest paid price is $4.99 a month and the highest is $49.99. A creator can also set her price to zero and run a free account.
Subscribing gives you access to the posts she shares with subscribers for as long as the subscription is active. It does not automatically include everything she sells. Some posts and most paid messages are priced separately, and tips are always optional.
The money is split between the creator and the platform. Under OnlyFans' terms, creators receive 80% of what fans pay and OnlyFans keeps 20%. Depending on where you live, sales tax or VAT may be added at checkout on top of the creator's price.
What accounts in our directory charge
Across the 8,700 accounts we tracked on 5 Oct 2026, prices cluster at the low end:

In other words, free is the single largest group, and more than half of all accounts are either free or cost under $10. Among the 6,049 paid accounts, which are 69.5% of the total, the median price is $11.11 a month. Only 9.6% of accounts charge $20 or more.
Two things follow for fans. First, a typical paid subscription costs a little over $10 a month, and most accounts cost less than that or nothing at all. Second, price is not a reliable sign of what you get: our roundups find very popular accounts priced under $10 alongside less popular ones charging $20 or more. Free accounts, bundles and trials
There are three ways to pay less than the listed monthly price.
Free accounts. A free account has a $0 subscription with no renewal charge. You see the feed at no cost, and the creator is paid through optional purchases instead. Our best free OnlyFans accounts roundup looks at the most-liked of them.
Bundles. Many creators sell subscriptions of 3, 6 or 12 months in one payment, usually at a lower effective monthly price than paying month by month. A bundle is paid up front, so it only makes sense for creators you already know you want to follow.
Free trials and promotions. A creator can offer new subscribers a free or discounted period through a trial link or a promotion on her profile. When it ends, the subscription renews at the regular price unless you switch off auto-renew. Our guide to OnlyFans free trials covers how to claim one without being caught out.
Pay-per-view and tips
Beyond the subscription, creators can charge for individual items:
- Pay-per-view posts. A post in the feed can be locked with its own price, on a free or a paid account.
- Paid messages. Creators can send messages with locked photos or videos. You see the price before you unlock anything, and you are only charged if you choose to unlock it.
- Tips. You can tip a creator on a post, in a message or on her profile. Tips are always optional.
Pay-per-view is where spending most often adds up without people noticing, because each item is small and the decision is made in the moment. If you are on a budget, decide in advance how much you are willing to spend on unlocks each month, and check your payment history in your OnlyFans settings now and then.
Always pay inside OnlyFans. A creator never needs you to pay through gift cards, crypto or payment apps, and anyone who asks is very likely an impersonator, as our guide on how to spot fake OnlyFans accounts explains.
Auto-renew and cancelling
Subscriptions on OnlyFans renew automatically by default. When the period you paid for ends, OnlyFans charges the creator's current price for another month, unless auto-renew is switched off.
Cancelling on OnlyFans means switching off auto-renew for that creator. You do it from her profile or from your list of subscriptions. Your access continues until the end of the period you already paid for; after that, the subscription expires and you are not charged again. If you change your mind, you can subscribe again at whatever price she charges at that time.
Three habits keep renewals under control:
- Switch off auto-renew straight after subscribing to anyone you are only trying out, including trial subscriptions.
- Review your active subscriptions once a month and keep only the ones you still use.
- Watch for price changes. A creator can change her price. If you plan to stay, check the price shown before each renewal.
If you are charged for something you did not intend, contact OnlyFans support quickly through the help centre; the sooner you raise it, the easier it is to sort out.

How do I cancel an OnlyFans subscription?
Switch off auto-renew for that creator from her profile or your subscriptions list. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you are not charged again.
Where does my money go when I subscribe?
Under OnlyFans' terms, the creator receives 80% of what fans pay and OnlyFans keeps 20%. Taxes may be added at checkout depending on where you live.
The short version
OnlyFans pricing is set creator by creator. Most accounts are free or cost under $10, the median paid subscription is $11.11 a month, and the extras, pay-per-view and tips, are where costs add up. Use bundles only for creators you know, switch off auto-renew on anything you are trying, and keep every payment inside OnlyFans. BestCreators is independent and not affiliated with OnlyFans.
